Day of the Dead Celebration: Community Art Workshop with Cesar Viveros

Join artist Cesar Viveros at FDR Park on Wednesday, October 30 from 4:00–6:00 PM to help prepare the Día de los Muertos ofrenda (altar) for Friday night’s Gran Fiesta de los Muertos.
This is a free, drop-in workshop so come anytime between the hours listed above to meet the artist, to learn more about Día de los Muertos and Mexican cultural traditions, and to help construct the art installation. Complimentary drinks and snacks will be available.
This event is for adults only. It will take place outside so please dress for the weather and wear clothes that you don’t mind getting messy. RSVP is appreciated so we can anticipate space and material needs.
