2025 is shaping up to be a transformative year for Indego as we continue to expand and improve our system, making bike share more accessible than ever. Let’s take a moment to celebrate our 2024 achievements and preview the exciting plans ahead.
Celebrating 2024 Progress
In 2024, Indego added 16 new stations, 274 docking points, and 400 bikes—300 Indego electric bikes and 100 refurbished classic bikes—to the system. These additions helped strengthen service in Northern Liberties, kicked off an expansion along City Avenue, increased capacity in Center City, and filled in gaps in Grays Ferry.
Looking Ahead to 2025
Our 2025 expansion plan builds on last year’s progress, introducing service to three new areas while continuing efforts in key zones from 2024. This year’s focus includes:
- Cobbs Creek
- Tioga/Rising Sun
- Manayunk/Roxborough
- City Avenue
- Kensington/Richmond
- Mill Creek/Parkside
- Kingsessing
These neighborhoods were selected based on a variety of factors, including our commitment to equity, increasing access to low-income communities and communities of color, proximity to green spaces and educational institutions, and connections to transit hubs. Input from our Suggest a Station tool also played a key role in shaping this year’s expansion.
By the end of 2025, we aim to add approximately 40 new stations and 400 Indego electric bikes to our system. Alongside this expansion, we’ll also focus on densifying existing neighborhoods and ensuring that every dock is fully operational.
Please note, that the blue 2025 expansion areas in the map above represent geographic growth planned for 2025. Specific station planning is an ongoing process with our partners and community stakeholders.

What is indego doing to help make roads safer? Given the many recent cycling deaths in Philadelphia, and with the potholes and lack of bike lanes, I often feel uncomfortable and unsafe riding in the city. How is indego lobbying the mayor’s office to improve this transportation for its riders?
