Classes
Learn to Ride
This FREE two-hour, hands-on course teaches (or re-teaches) adults the basics of how to ride a bike. Bicycle Coalition staff lead participants through pedaling, balancing, turning, and the general confidence needed to successfully ride. This class is open to anyone who has never ridden a bike or simply needs a refresher.
Is the Learn-to-Ride class you want to attend full or you can't make it? Check out this virtual Learn-to-Ride class that you can follow at your convenience.
Indego Riding Basics
Join us for a FREE 90-minute, classroom-style workshop designed to help you start bicycling safely in Philadelphia. Led by instructors from the Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia (BCGP), this in-person session focuses on safety tips, rules of the road, and rider confidence. No bike needed.
Registration is required for all classes, and spaces are limited.
Group Rides
Whether you're new to biking, need a refresher, or would like to meet other cyclists, we've got you covered! Indego group rides are led by the awesome team at the Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia and are open to everyone, no experience needed. All registrants receive a free helmet and swag bag to take home! Must be 14 years of age to ride an Indego bicycle and 16 years of age to ride an Indego Electric. Only registered participants can join the ride.
Are you part of an organization? Local organizations can request group rides in partnership with the Bicycle Coalition and Indego. These partnered group rides allow your organization to safely explore different areas around Philadelphia on a guided ride. These 40 to 60-minute, easy-paced rides are geared toward helping beginner cyclists feel more comfortable riding in urban environments.
