As part of the Better Bike Share Partnership, Indego collaborates with the Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia to provide safety classes, learning opportunities, and group rides for current and future Indego riders. We offer programming for all different levels of cyclists and you don't have to be a passholder to participate!
Our Classes & Rides season has ended, but please sign up for our newsletter and be the first to know about new events happening in Spring 2025.
Learn to Ride Classes
This FREE two-hour, hands-on course teaches (or re-teaches) adults the basics of how to ride a bike. Bicycle Coalition staff lead participants through pedaling, balancing, turning, and the general confidence needed to successfully ride. This class is open to anyone who has never ridden a bike or simply needs a refresher.
Is the Learn-to-Ride class you want to attend full or you can't make it? Check out this virtual Learn-to-Ride class that you can follow at your convenience.
Indego Riding Basics Classes
This FREE 1-hour class will give you the knowledge to start bicycling safely in Philadelphia and is taught by our partners at the Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia (BCGP). No bike is needed! This will be an indoor in-person class.
Registration is required for all classes and spaces are limited.
Partner Group Rides
Local organizations can request private group rides in partnership with the Bicycle Coalition and Indego by clicking the green button below. These partnered group rides allow your organization to safely explore different areas around Philadelphia on a guided ride. These 40 to 60-minute, easy-paced rides are geared toward helping beginner cyclists feel more comfortable riding in urban environments. Must be 14 years of age to ride an Indego bicycle and 16 years of age to ride an Indego Electric.
All group rides start at Indego stations & explore the surrounding area. Ride leaders will go at a leisurely pace, accommodating cyclists of all levels. Only registered participants can join the ride, click below to see available rides and register.
Rides are available upon request. Please allow up to 2 weeks to allow your request to be reviewed.
