Independence Blue Cross Food Drive

This holiday season, Independence Blue Cross is hosting a food drive to benefit Philabundance. Bring an item to the Independence Blue Cross RiverRink from November 24 through December 31, and enter for a chance to win Philadelphia Flyers tickets or signed Philadelphia Eagles merchandise. Note: Raffles are only available onsite.

To provide more nutritious food to those they serve, Philabundance has identified their highest food priorities. These items are higher in demand and nutritional value. While they continue to accept other items, they kindly ask for a focus on these so, together, we can have the maximum impact for individuals facing hunger. The most needed food items are:

• Peanut butter and jelly
• Cooking oil
• Canned tuna or meat, fruits and vegetables, and soup
• Oatmeal and breakfast cereal
• Whole grain pasta
• Boxed, non-refrigerated milk
