Indego has teamed up with the City of Philadelphia’s Office of Transportation and Infrastructure Systems (OTIS) to launch our 5th cohort of Wheels to Work, a five-week training course for adult job seekers that combines workforce development training with learning about Indego and bicycling. Individuals who complete the program will receive a FREE six-month pass to Indego, free professional headshots, and a certificate of completion!

Course Details:

Participants will learn tips from industry experts on building their resume and LinkedIn page, networking, interview skills, and explore potential career pathways while completing assignments related to Indego and bike safety education. Each week from Wednesday, April 9th – Wednesday, April 30th classes will be held online via Zoom starting at 5:30 PM. All the work for the course will be done online at the participant's own pace. Plan to allocate approximately 4-6 hours (2 hours of scheduled workshops and 2-4 independent work) each week.

A device with internet access is required to participate in online workshops and complete online assignments individually. Additionally, a course instructor will provide one-on-one and in-person support for those who need it.

In order to successfully complete the program, there will be mandatory attendance at the in-person program orientation on Wednesday, April 2nd from 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM, and all weekly virtual sessions from April 9th to April 30th from 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM. Additionally, all participants will be required to attend at least one group ride listed below.

Individuals who complete the program will receive a FREE six-month pass to Indego!

In-Person Graduation Celebration:

  • Saturday, May 3rd from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Participant Group Rides*:

  • Saturday, April 19th from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM (Location TBD)
  • Saturday, April 26th from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM (Location TBD)

*We will offer a free Learn-to-Ride class for anyone who needs to learn how to ride a bike or brush up on basic skills.
